What is Reiki
The underlying cause of all disease is to be found in the emotions and the mind . If you go to a doctor they generally will just look at and try to fix the physical body since this is how they are trained whereas Reiki is an holisitc therapy and works on all levels of a person's Being.
Science has shown that everything is energy with a certain vibration and frequency. At birth, all of our systems, organs and energy fields vibrate at the level of unconditional love which is optimal for physcal health and well-being. Throughout life, though, we begin to absorb the negative beliefs and sustain the shocks and hurts that block emotions and disrupt the human energy field. Vibrations are thus lowered or changed, physical systems respond by setting up stress-level defenses or even resulting in pain or disease. The energy fields are further disrupted, creating a snowball effect – and over time, the negativity and hurt are reinforced in the body.
Reiki seeks to eliminate these blockages and negative cycles by restoring vibration and frequency of the energy field to the original pure, healthful state. Energy flows to positively affect emotions and outlook and unlocks your potential.

Negative thoughts and feelings are toxic. They weaken the body, make you perspire, create muscular tension, and create a more acidic environment within your body. They increase the likihood of cancer as cancer cells thrive in an acidic environment and other disease. They also send out a negative energy vibration and attract negative experiences.
Postive thoughts, on the other hand will affect your body in a positive way. They stimulate the release of endorphins in your brain reducing pain and increasing pleasure. They stimulate and enhance the immune system. In addition to this, positive thoughts send out a positive vibration that attract postive experiences back into your life.

Basic Course

| Going Deeper into the Emotional Causes of Disease
Psychic Debris
When we relive past experiences over and over again in our minds which hold a negative charge creates Psychic Debris. Normally when we have an experience that generates a negative emotion within us we experience the emotion, process it (understand the reason for it) and release it. It is when the emotion is not processed and released that Psychic Debris occurs.
Psychic Debris eventually accumulates and creates blockages of your life-force in the mental and emotional body and if not cleared will eventually result in illness in the physical body.
Reiki can be used to help heal these emotional charges. This can be done using the mental/emotional symbol which is learned at Reiki level II.
You will find that as you go through your Reiki journey, it will become easier to let go of emotional charges and just take the understanding and learning from your life experiences.
Reiki sessions and attunements help release and break up this debris. In the physical body this can result in the quick removal of kidneys stones etc. When Psychic Debris in the mental or emotional body is released, you will develop clearer thinking, and a deeper understanding of thoughts, feelings and life circumstances. You will also be opened up to positive change. When blockages are released in your spiritual body, you will be able to reach a higher level of awareness and connection with your source. Once Psychic Debris is removed, the life-force energy returns to its normal healthy flow. Dealing with Psychic Debris is an on-going daily process. Life presents new challenges every day that must be worked with and released so new debris does not accumulate. It is important to use Reiki to stay balanced and clear.
